Our Veterinarian
Gary J. Burt, DVM
Dr. Burt is
a 1987 graduate of the College
of Veterinary Medicine at
Mississippi State University and the
2008 Alumnus of the Year.
He specializes in the care of small
animals, exotics, and pet birds. Dr. Burt also works cooperatively
with
the Hueston Woods State Park wildlife center, providing care
for
a wide variety of wild animals (patients have included raptors,
puma, etc.) He is pictured above (far right) treating a bald eagle.

Julie Burt, Office Manager
Julie Burt is the wife of Dr.
Gary Burt and has
worked at the clinic
since the doors were opened in March of 1988. In the early years
she worked in our kennel facility, caring for our guests and cleaning,
as well as in our clinic as a handler, surgical assistant and
receptionist.
She is very concerned with the well-being of our patients and the
satisfaction of our clients. Please stop by with your pet anytime
and she would be happy to take you on a tour of our facility.
Julie and her husband have two
children, Megan and Jeremy.
Both are regular fixtures at the clinic with Jeremy being our youngest
veterinarian in training.
Julie is also a breast cancer survivor.
